I love seeing the girls play together now. It's usually nice, though there can be occassional fighting ;) They play Barbies, trains, My Little Pony, school...
Libby's behavior is definitely getting better, steadily. We still have fights but she gets over it faster and apologizes. It's nice to see things improving.
School is going well. Conferences are in a few weeks. They will be "student-led" which sounds interesting. Her latest math paper that came home said, "Super! Less than 1 minute!" Her last project about resources and living things went well, too. She presented on Shetland Ponies and items from the grocery store.
We have had a few delayed starts and 1 snow day in the past few weeks. Much needed snow.
Night 1: One accident, then 2 hrs, then all night :)
Night 2: One accident, then 4 hrs, then all night
Night 3: two accidents, then all night (4hrs between)

Happy 5th Birthday!!
My Olivia is 5 years old! Happy Birthday! We had a wonderful time celebrating yesterday with our friends. We took the kids to a painting place where they painted a cat with a bird. It was a lot of fun!
The cake was Barbie Fashion Pink.
I was stressing out about the weather as we had a pretty big snow start on Thursday night and run all day through Friday. We had close to a foot of snow at our house. But, thankfully, the major roads were well cleared and the sun came out on Saturday.

word of the week: care
Sabrina requested to sleep with Olivia in Olivia's room. We tried it 2 nights. The 1st night, Sabrina had a leak in her diaper and woke up after only an hour. We heard her wandering around upstairs. Once Bruce changed her, he put her back in the crib. The 2nd night, the girls slept for almost 4 hours, but Sabrina was crowding Olivia, climbing on her. It woke Olivia up, so she brought Sabrina to us. haha. It was cute that they tried.

15-months
Had Sabrina's check-up this morning..31.5" and 23lb, 11.5oz. All is well.
Olivia's school friend, Tori came over for a playdate on Tues. after school. I was a bit worried about the kids playing when they're so tired. It went well, overall. They had 1 tiff, but got over it quickly. Olivia is getting very good at conflict resolution.
Our first "snow day" (no school) was yesterday. We had a blizzard warning until noon, but didn't really get that much snow - maybe 3-4". It was very windy & cold though and very icy for the first part of the day. The clouds broke up and the 2nd half of the day wasn't too bad. But we were home all day...So, no library day this week...*Correction: the kids went to the library today. Hooray!

So long, January...
Olivia has finally made it back to school. A trip to the library resulted in the book of the week:
"Three More Stories You Can Read to Your Cat" by Sara Swan Miller
Word of the week: height
After horrible fights, tantrums & general frustration Olivia has been much better about taking her antibiotic this time. Using a syringe & offering a sweet treat to "wash the taste out" have helped, along will using stickers on her chart to track the doses. We're supposed to go for a renal u/s, but have yet to schedule it. Mommy & Daddy wanted to do a little research on the necessity of it first.
Little sister had her first taste of sweet potatoes & they are a hit. She ate half a container or more today, on her 2nd try.
A little bit of snow today, maybe 3-6" by tomorrow, but VERY COLD!

Well, bust my buttons!
Olivia has been buttoning the buttons on her pjs for a month or more (I'm behind on things). These particular pjs are soft, so they're easier than other buttons. She tries w/other sweaters or jackets, but isn't always 100% successful. Still fun to see her learning a new skill.
The potty is still on limited success mode, too. Daddy's newest tactic is to try & bribe Olivia w/bubble baths. He showed her how fun they can be last night. So, he's hoping it's some initiative for her to potty during the day. We'll see...

Ski weekend
We went up to Vail for a few days. Aunt Tracie, Uncle Bryan & the boys were up there skiing. It was a really nice trip. Olivia saw Daddy & I suiting up to go skiing & wanted to go desperately - despite having no clue what we were doing. So, maybe we'll have to try next year (I think they can start ski school at age 3).

Aunt D returns
Aunt D came for another week visit. We had our first blizzard while she was here & it's been snowing on & off ever since. We managed to have some fun. Went to the Mining Museum, Denver Art Museum, GOG Visitor Center & Trading Post and we saw the Easter Bunny @ Citadel Mall.

First snow!

We had our 1st snow in the new house last night. It wasn't much, but it was exciting and COLD!
Olivia also slept in her new bedroom for the 1st time last night. It's take me awhile to get the boxes and furniture in the right place. She did really well. I was worried that she'd gotten too used to being in the room w/us in her portable crib. Daddy was spoiling her, bringing her in the bed if she woke up. He did bring her in at one point, but he put her back after she "warmed up."
We're having our 1st Thanksgiving without family. I'm a little sad, but this is how it goes, so we're making the best. I bought a few things and maybe we'll make some new traditions :)
